Officially Homeowners!

Excuses end here. It’s been MONTHS since I have posted anything on my blog. I won’t waste anyone’s time with “i was oh so busy” excuses. Because in reality, I was just lazy. So… my bad. Now we move on.

Everyone had been asking for photos of my house, which I was so excited to share. I started a blog post, but I never got around to posting anything.

A few things have changed since I wrote my original post below (most specifically, NO SNOW on the ground right now!!), but I wanted to keep the post below unchanged since this is what I wrote initially.

I hope you enjoy my VERY belated post. I have another post planned this weekend about why I stopped blogging for so long. Stay tuned for more!

xoxo

(March 3, 2015)

It’s been about a month now that Josh and I have been moved into our house. I couldn’t love it more! We are, for the most part, done unpacking. We have some projects left that we will need to do, but for now, I feel pretty good about our progress!

Here are some pictures! Enjoy!

  1. Congrats on the home and I’m sure you are excited about all the little (or not so little) projects planned. Lol…and I felt guilty about not posting for 2 weeks. Well, the important thing is that you are back. Keep us updatedπŸ˜ƒ

  2. Congratulations! The best piece of advice I can give you about moving into a new home is don’t feel the urgency to decorate every room. In the past I have done that and felt like I needed to fill empty rooms with furniture and decorations. I ended up wasting money on things I truly didn’t want. The house we are in now we have been here for 2 years and I still have rooms that have some furniture but no decorations (one room consists of dressers for my clothes!). Take your time and buy the things you want as you find them. I promise you’ll be glad you waited.

    • Oh I totally agree. We still have a room that is completely empty. And we don’t even know what we want to do with it yet. Neither one of us are good at decorating so we are definitely taking our time. Only two rooms we were focused on are the kitchen and living room. We had a lot from the place we used to rent from, thankfully. We haven’t bought any new furniture, either since what we had was good. We will eventually get a new couch, but neither of us are excited to go furniture shopping haha.

      • We don’t use all of our rooms for the intended purpose. A bedroom is an office, formal dining is a workout room which has a treadmill and weights that store dust for us (there is a space in the kitchen for our table).

  3. i love every bit of it. so spacious yet beautiful. The piece of artwork you both did is superb and may i say you got creativity. The back splash colors so unique. Congrats in your new home. Light it up all the way

  5. Thanks Megs, for liking my latest post, thereby facilitating my connect with your world. Moving into one’s own home is one of life’s milestones. Congrats and best wishes… Raj.

  6. Congrats for getting a nice place to call your home. Could you just move in or did you have to do some work inside? We’ve been working two months straight through. But now things look better.
